Conflict of Interest Policy. CCOG is committed to the maintenance of very high standards of honesty, integrity, impartiality, and professional conduct by members of the CCOG Board of Directors. Such conduct is essential to ensure the proper performance of CCOG business as well as to earn and keep public confidence in CCOG. Each member of the CCOG Board of Directors executes the Conflict of Interest Policy.
Public Records Policy. CCOG acknowledges that it maintains records (“Records” or “Public Records”) that are used in the administration and operation of CCOG. In accordance with state law, CCOG has adopted Schedules of Records Retention and Disposition that identify these Records. These schedules identify Records that are stored on a fixed medium (paper, computer, film, etc.) that are created, received, or sent on behalf of CCOG and document the organizations, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of CCOG. The Records maintained by CCOG and the ability to access them are a means to provide trust between the public and CCOG.
Records Retention Schedule. All Records kept by CCOG are public unless they are exempt from disclosure under Ohio law. All Public Records must be organized and maintained in such a way that they can be made available for inspection and copying. All CCOG Records will be retained in acceptable formats pursuant to Ohio Revised Code for a minimum of five (5) years. At the end of the prescribed minimum of five (5) years, Records will be reviewed and either retained or destroyed pursuant to Ohio Revised Code.
CCOG is an Ohio political subdivision. Each CCOG fiscal year is audited by the Ohio Auditor of State’s office in accordance with the standards set by Ohio statutes and the Ohio Auditor of State. Typically, these audits are performed every other year for the preceding two (2) fiscal years.
